Intertrochanteric Fracture – Right Hip | Before & After Surgery

An intertrochanteric fracture is a fracture of the upper part of the femur (thigh bone), commonly seen in elderly patients following a fall. These fractures can cause significant pain and difficulty in standing or walking.
The X-ray images show the right intertrochanteric fracture before surgery and the post-operative fixation with an intramedullary implant. The goal of surgical fixation is to restore alignment and provide stable fixation, allowing appropriate rehabilitation and early mobilization when medically suitable.
